Champagne, pearls and the girls.

My business partner Jane and I (also known as the two Janes) were fortunate to be invited to the winter celebration of the Paspaley Pearl harvest.

Traditionally June is when the new pearls are harvested from their shells. The season is special because that the pearl seeds are finally born into their own unusual shape and beauty. Once they are harvested they are made into the truly beautiful jewellery that is Paspaley Pearls.

It was a lovely evening in one of their flagship stores at the top end of Collins Street in Melbourne. We tried the delectable pearl meat and washed it down with French champagne. Mmmm. One of the other highlights of the evening was hearing about the generational journey of Paspaley Pearl family- a story of hard work, perseverance, vision and success.

A many of you will know, Jane and I have launched our online furniture and interiors business- StellaJane Interiors Pty Ltd. We are loving it!
